    Summary You will serve as a INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Inventory Control Department of NAVMEDREADLOGCMD. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. You will assess material availability and shortfalls, changes in condition code or stratification state, expiration dates and extensions, monitoring of due ins and receipts, and monitoring of inventory control. You will utilize technical expertise and broad experience in assigned area in dealing with requirements/stock level determinations. You will perform database updates/analysis to multiple logistics systems in support of inventory and production operations. You will utilize business logistics applications (warehouse management system and/or accountable property system of record) to receive and transmit pick-and-stow data, and for the assignment and completion of warehousing tasks. You will use business intelligence tools and automated supply systems to evaluate relationships between storage location availability, on-hand inventory, material in transit, and upcoming supply requirements to make stow-plan decisions. You will utilize business logistics systems, websites, and other means to document requests for disposition and turn-in verification. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing work in managing, regulating, coordinating, and inventory control over supplies, equipment, or other material including one or more material management phases such as receipt, stowage, distribution, accountability, and consumption, retention, or disposal issue of inventory management functions; Conducting physical inventories, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining inventory records within an accountable property system of record; Using business logistics applications, analyzing data, and providing training to others in inventory management processes; Reviewing and evaluating relationships between storage, inventory, issuance, and delivery by the most efficient and economical means possible; Evaluating current methods and processes and conducting analysis/evaluations on automated supply systems to identify needs and take action accordingly; AND Taking actions involving interpretation of considerable data; application of established inventory management, and supply methods, equipment, techniques, and objectives to a variety of situations; and variations in the level of inventory management and supply support required.
