Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Specialist II, Market & Competitive Insights supports the development of strategic commercial decisions through deep market, competitive, and product analysis. This role is part of the Global Marketing team and is focused on delivering insights that shape product strategy, portfolio planning, and executive-level decisions across the business. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with the ability to interpret external market data and competitive intelligence within the medical device sector.
Responsibilities:
+ Conduct market sizing and competitive benchmarking using internal and third-party data sources to assess product performance and market positioning.
+ Support commercial strategy with insights on industry trends, emerging competitors, and whitespace opportunities.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, R&D) to align analytics with business goals and inform go-to-market planning.
+ Present findings in a clear, executive-ready format that connects insights to business implications.
+ Develop and maintain dashboards, presentations, and models that communicate trends and competitive movements.
+ Maintain awareness of industry developments, regulatory shifts, and customer behavior relevant to strategic planning.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience in market intelligence, strategy, or commercial analytics, preferably in the medical device, life sciences, or healthcare industry.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Finance or related field.
+ Combined education and experience will be considered.

• Market & Competitive Analysis: Demonstrated experience conducting market sizing, share analysis, and competitive benchmarking using internal and third-party data.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate market insights into business implications that inform commercial strategy, product positioning, and portfolio decisions.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and business priorities within the medical device sector.
• Insight Communication: Skilled at crafting concise, executive-level presentations and visualizations that clearly communicate trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven success partnering with marketing, sales, R&D, and finance teams to drive aligned strategic outcomes.
• Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to extract and synthesize insights (this is not a data engineering role).
• Detail-Oriented: High attention to data quality, accuracy, and the ability to structure assumptions transparently within analysis
Qualifications & Skills:
+ Strong proficiency in competitive analysis, market sizing, and data interpretation.
+ Comfortable using data tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL) to support insight generation (note: this is not a data engineering role).
+ Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to leadership preferred.
+ Ability to travel domestically 15-20%
