Project Manager-Streetcar
Transdev in Omaha, NE,is hiring a General Manager. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of streetcar track operations, including inspection, maintenance, and repair. This role ensures compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, operational expertise, and a collaborative approach to managing teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for managing the entire track operation, which includes but is not limited to track inspection and repairs, replacing rails, ties, switches, and ballast in compliance with the agreement terms and conditions, applicable regulations, Client standards, FRA, and budgets.
+ Manage daily operations of streetcar track systems, including inspections, repairs, and replacements (rails, ties, switches, ballast)
+ Ensure compliance with FRA regulations, client standards, and contract terms
+ Provide strategic directions for staff and subcontractors
+ Serve as primary liaison with federal, state, and city oversight authorities
+ Oversee contract compliance and performance metrics
+ Participate in scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluations
+ Monitor and manage project budgets and cost controls
+ Navigate labor relations and maintain effective union partnerships
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Railroad Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
+ Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a similar role
+ Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
+ Experience working with government agencies and regulatory bodies
+ Proven ability to manage budgets and control costs
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
+ Experience with union environments and labor relations
+ Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to sit for extended periods (6–8 hours/day)
+ Frequent walking on uneven or sloped surfaces
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
+ Occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching
