Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate outpatient **General Neurologist** to join a dynamic multispecialty subspecialist neurology group in Sugar Land, TX. The group consists of 6 physicians, 1 neuropsychologist, and 1 psychiatrist, and serves the diverse patient population of Sugar Land and the surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

+ Provide expert clinical care for patients with neurological conditions, including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of neurological conditions.

+ Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests, to formulate accurate diagnoses and develop evidence-based treatment plans.

+ Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and care planning, involving patients and their families in decision-making processes.

+ Participate in departmental meetings, conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions to contribute to the collective knowledge and expertise of the neurology group.

+ Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records (EMR) and comply with all hospital and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

+ Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical school

+ Completion of residency in Neurology from an accredited program

+ Board certification or eligibility in Neurology

+ Valid TX medical license

+ Excellent clinical skills, including history-taking, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests

+ Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members

+ Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
