    Position Summary

    Under direct supervision, provides basic clerical and administrative support to the department

    Job Responsibilities

    + Ensures all patient data such as imaging reports, immunization reports, or lab results are sent promptly to referring or specialist physicians and offices to support continuity of patient care.

    + Ensures accuracy of recipient contact information and location for correct delivery.

    + Scans and uploads imaging studies, lab results, consultation letters, and other documents into patient's EMR or other systems.

    + Reviews and uploads prior medical records or imaging studies into the patient’s chart before their appointment to support an accurate history by the provider or comparative interpretation by the radiologist.

    + Maintains accuracy and confidentiality of all patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

    + Supports internal documentation workflows and responds to internal requests related to patient imaging, lab or immunization records.

    + Collaborates with other departments and doctor’s offices to ensure seamless records management across patient care processes.

    + Assists with gathering, processing & preparing charts/documentation needed prior to patient appointments or as part of follow-up. Receives and processes requests from providers and other staff to obtain outside records and reports.

    + Handles incoming phone inquiries from patients related to medical records or imaging.

    + May assist with maintaining inventory and supplies or office equipment.

    + Assists with special projects as assigned.

    + Candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills and must be highly detailed oriented.
