What you'll do...
What you'll do:
+ Own the strategy and roadmap for continuous, AI-driven assortment optimization—setting goals, success metrics, and execution plans that keep our shelves filled with the most relevant items.
+ Design and operationalize end-to-end processes and tooling (including store-level clustering by demographic and economic signals) that automate localized assortment and modular updates.
+ Partner with data scientists and merchants to translate model insights into scalable capabilities—validating recommendations, refining algorithms, and tracking financial impact.

+ **Strategic Merchandising Acumen** – can translate category goals and customer insights into a clear roadmap for dynamic, AI-driven assortment decisions
+ **Process-Design & Change-Management Expertise** – proven ability to architect end-to-end workflows and drive adoption across large, cross-functional retail teams
+ **Data Fluency & Model Partnering** – comfortable framing business questions for data scientists, validating model outputs, and turning them into actionable capabilities
+ **Localization Mindset** – adept at clustering stores by demographics, economics, and behavioral signals to tailor assortments that truly serve local customers
+ **Bias for Scalable Execution** – balances experimentation with operational rigor; designs solutions that automate flawlessly from pilot through chain-wide roll-out

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Certification in Project Management., Master’s degree in Business Administration, with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related area and 4 years’ experience in product design., Supervisory, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
