THE WORK

\- The selected candidate will be responsible for

the technical support during integration, testing,

and corrective maintenance, of the Mk\-99 Fire

Control System \(FCS\) equipment for the Aegis

Test Team \(ATT\) based in Bath, ME\.

\- At times the position will require shift work, short notice, schedule changes, occasional weekend work, and brief at\-sea periods while supporting ATT Bath\.

\- When not supporting the ATT Bath test program, the successful candidate will be

expected to support travel to all locations

domestic and international that Aegis ships

might operate, providing Mk 99 FCS subject

matter expertise\.

\- Travel locations outside of Bath include, but are not limited to: Yokosuka, Japan; Chinhae, South Korea; Rota, Spain; Pearl Harbor, HI; San Diego, CA; Everett, WA; Mayport, FL; Norfolk, VA; and Pascagoula MS\.

\- US Citizenship is required\. Candidate must have an active DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position\.

Basic Qualifications:

\- Qualified candidate must have an understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field, proficiency in reading technical documentation and possess both a mechanical and electrical aptitude

• Frequent inter\-organizational and outside

customer contacts requiring excellent written

and oral communication skills

• 25%\-35% travel will be required and can be

expected in support of work conducted at

locations outside Bath

• Candidate will be required to work in a shipyard environment, climb steep ladders, work in tight spaces, and go underway on US Naval Vessels for short periods of time

\- US Citizenship is required\. Candidate must have an active DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position

Desired Skills:

\- Strong troubleshooting skills, to isolate

problem to root cause

\- Prior experience with AEGIS suite of equipment; troubleshooting down to component level, utilizing ORTS to help identify issues

\- Understanding of radar principles and the use of high energy RF components to achieve this\.

\- Ability to support energizing and de\-energizing FCS equipment elements

\- Ability to work off\-shifts to support fault isolation/fault detection testing

**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
