    Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Building Repairman Supervisor II. Duty Location: Clark County, Nevada Hoover Dam Field Division, Maintenance Office, General Facilities Maintenance Group located at the Hoover Dam in Clark County, NV, Responsibilities The Building Repairman Supervisor II exercises general supervision for the maintenance activities of the Hoover Dam Visitor Center facilities, to include top of the dam buildings and grounds, warehouse facilities, security response force buildings, checkpoint stations, and surrounding roads maintenance and trash cleanup within the Lower Colorado Dams Office jurisdiction. Supervises various craft employees in trades involving electrical, building, mechanical and heavy equipment maintenance, and janitorial duties. Mentors subordinate personnel through counseling; developing and improving skills; problem solving and intervention; and solicitation of continuous improvement suggestions and ideas. Advises Office Chief on the progress of work being performed, production problems encountered, and completion dates for work assignments. Responsible for the facilities maintenance program to include determining cost estimates and identifying , obtaining, and scheduling equipment, supplies, materials, and personnel. Reviews completed work orders and ensures that costs for parts, materials and labor are documented in the automated work-control system. Provides technical guidance and assistance and manpower to other work groups/teams within the dam and power plant as needed. Instructs employees on safety techniques, safety regulations enforcement and requirement for reporting violations. Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. You must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation. You must submit a resume and supporting documentation. You must submit a performance appraisal if you are a current or former federal employee. (see Required Documents). You must maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times as the position requires operation of government vehicles on government and public roads. Failure to maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times will result in removal from the position. You must live within 50 miles from the official duty station. You will be required to obtain a successful pre-employment physical examination by a licensed physician certifying your ability to perform the duties of this position. A physical exam may not be required if a comparable agency approved examination was performed within the last 12 months. The cost of the exam will be reimbursed by the agency. You must complete a supervisory probationary period unless you have previously completed one in the Federal Service. You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out element(s) and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all of the job elements in order to be considered qualified for this position. You must be a fully skilled journeyman in at least one of the following trades: Carpentry, HVAC, Masonry, Painting, or Electrical - this experience must clearly be reflected on your resume, or your application will be marked as not qualified. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Selective Placement Factor: This position requires a current, valid Driver License. Failure to provide proof of such license will cause you to be rated ineligible for this position. You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 07/29/2025. Education This position does not allow substituting education for experience. Additional Information You may be required to serve an initial supervisory probation period unless you previously served a supervisory probation period in the Federal Service. Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for situational telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval.
