    Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

     

    The Senior Project Manager, Customer Experience – Technology Delivery will be responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of complex technical programs on the Peacock roadmap. With a primary focus on Advertising Product, they will manage a range of initiatives focused on innovative advertising features, experiences, and technologies. The position will also support the delivery of advertising features globally on Sky’s Now/Wow and SkyShowtime streaming platforms, as well as other features that support the broader global engagement experience.

     

    This position requires strong analytic and communication skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, and manage delivery of complex projects across a large matrixed ecosystem.

     

    Successful candidates will exhibit a keen ability to understand technology principles and agile delivery. Also important is the ability to establish and maintain key relationships within business and technology groups, and to interact with senior leaders and partners.

     

    This position will report to the Sr. Director of Program Management, Global Technology Delivery, and will work in a highly matrixed structure, indirectly and directly managing technology teams across NBC, Sky and the wider Comcast group, as well as within multiple areas of the business including Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Lead and partner with Product, engineering, architecture teams, and other team members to successfully deliver large and complex cross-functional technology deliverables

    + Plan work across multiple work streams and support stakeholder communications & program status updates

    + Partner with other Program Management and Delivery teams to ensure successful program delivery within business expectations and requirements

    + Provide program governance with clear and consistent communication of project level status to leadership, project sponsors, and stakeholders

    + Engage and support executive stakeholders through plan preparation, status updates, risk planning and objective-based meetings

    + Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies and develop plans to escalate and mitigate them

    + Utilize enterprise project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet and other applications to provide project status and reporting, while adhering to PMO processes, documentation standards, and best practices

    + Support planning activities to deliver maximum business value based on critical program KPIs

    + Partner with Program Managers and Workstream Leads to ensure consistent and accurate project scoping, cost-benefit analysis, and level of effort assessments

    + Effectively prioritize critical path activities to ensure on-time delivery

    + Partner across the business to identify and secure resources required to execute plans and manage internal and external assigned resources

    + Coordinate and manage change control in adherence to PMO standards

    + Create and manage required project documentation and required reports

    + Strive for continuous improvement in our processes and procedures, propose and implement changes to ensure a productive and efficient organization, in partnership with the wider team

    + Ensure establishment of program plans throughout the lifecycle of the delivery. Ensuring change is controlled, dependencies are identified, and risks are mitigated

    + Partner with QA teams to ensure all work is thoroughly tested before deployment to customers and handed over to support

    + Act as the first point of escalation, providing assistance and guidance throughout delivery

    + 5+ years' experience leading complex technology delivery projects, building effective project plans, and proven ability to drive successful outcomes

    + Experience with oversight of multiple Project Schedules across a portfolio of related Projects

    + Strong knowledge of project management. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex concepts for a variety of audiences

    + Key understanding of technology principles and software development delivery methods (Agile, Waterfall, etc)

    + Working knowledge of PM and tech tools and platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet and others

    + Ability to take complex technology discussions and break them down for non-technical groups

    + Experience managing cross-functional communication for multiple large projects.

    + Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional team members from multiple internal departments and external vendors

    + Ability to effectively present ideas and communicate with senior leadership

    + Ability to manage risk and maintain clear visibility across the project for all components

    + Proven ability to manage global teams with diverse backgrounds, business objectives, and time zone constraints

    + Culture carrier with strong leadership skills to drive, deliver, develop and inspire

    + Results-oriented with initiative to work until job is complete

    + Experience within video streaming, advertising, UX, and or digital media is a plus, but not required

    + Experience delivering large scale projects with interdependencies and critical delivery dates

    Salary range: $135,000 - $165,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible).
