    Position Summary...

At Walmart, the Catalog powers nearly every customer and associate experience, from online search to warehouse automation. The Catalog Operational Excellence team ensures that our product data is not only accurate and complete, but also built to serve real-world operations at Walmart’s scale. We sit at the intersection of data, business process, and platform design. Our mission is to connect the dots between how item data is authored, how it supports supply chain and compliance operations, and how decisions are informed and made downstream.

As a Senior Manager, Catalog Operational Excellence, you will be the key connector between our product data platform and Walmart’s operational functions, including Supply Chain, Compliance, Store Operations, and Global Sourcing. Your role will blend business process acumen with technical fluency to make sure that the right product data exists, is usable, and is trusted across the company.

You’ll lead cross-functional work to shape how we manage critical item attributes, handle fulfillment and compliance requirements, and support intelligent decision capabilities. You’ll partner with business stakeholders, product and engineering teams, and other Catalog areas to identify pain points, define solutions, and drive execution. This is not just a data governance role -- it’s an operational strategy and systems-thinking leadership role that bridges business needs and platform capabilities.

    What you'll do...

    What you'll do:

+ Act as the lead partner to Supply Chain, Compliance, and Store Ops teams for their Catalog needs, ensuring data is complete, usable, and designed to scale

+ Translate ambiguous or conflicting business requests into structured problem statements, working with product managers and engineers to implement solutions

+ Lead initiatives to clean up and clarify existing product data and implement new high-impact attributes

+ Serve as a stakeholder for strategic initiatives, such as fulfillment automation, compliance tracking, or decision systems

+ Collaborate with other leaders to prioritize transformation efforts alongside day-to-day operational needs

+ Influence data and platform design decisions to ensure operational usability of Catalog data at scale

+ Coach team members and downstream users on how to correctly interpret and apply Catalog content across tools and processes

    What you'll bring:

+ Experience in fulfillment, replenishment, sourcing, or field operations

+ Strong comfort with structured data systems

+ Familiarity with rule engines or decisioning systems is a plus

+ Background in retail, eCommerce, logistics, or operational data platforms

    + SQL or data fluency

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field

+ 6+ years of experience in product management, program management, catalog or supply chain data, or equivalent

+ Experience leading cross-functional projects or working across business/tech boundaries

You'll sweep us off our feet if you:

+ Are a system thinker who can spot broken feedback loops between data, operations, and technology

+ Thrive in ambiguous environments and can break down complex needs into actionable plans

+ Have experience working in or with Supply Chain, Compliance, or Merch Ops and can speak their language

+ Have strong communication and storytelling skills with both technical and business audiences

+ Can lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority

+ Are intellectually curious and eager to modernize data approaches with better systems and governance

+ Are familiar with machine learning, rule-based automation, or intelligent decision systems
