Tooling Repairman

Bridgewater, West Virginia

Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm

Pay: $25/hr W2

Job Responsibilities

+ The Tooling Repairman will be working in the site’s tooling inspection department.

+ The employee’s primary responsibilities will consist of repairing equipment and tooling used in the disassembly, inspection, assembly, and test of jet engine repair and overhaul operations.

+ Candidate will work in an organized and professional manner and will be required to maintain records to FAA/internal standards.

+ Candidate will work to ensure the safety of his or herself, and that of their fellow employees.

+ Candidate will work primarily in a “bench repair” capacity replacing common wearable tooling components using basic hand tools and will work directly with the site’s machine shop and third-party vendors to coordinate of more advanced repairs.

+ Candidate may be required to operate specialized measurement equipment such as CMM’s and optical comparators.

+ Candidate should also be proficient in the use of hand measurement equipment such as gage blocks, depth gages, calipers, micrometers, etc.

+ This role will also support basic tooling inspections as part of interdepartmental cross-training requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

+ High school diploma +3 year’s relevant industry experience.

+ Prior experience with basic bench repair hand tools.

+ Prior experience with basic measurement hand tools (micrometers, calipers, depth gages, etc.).
