We are hiring a Cloud Engineer II to support our growing cloud infrastructure and application operations across GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud. This role focuses on day-to-day cloud operations, application deployments, infrastructure management, and incident response, working across Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, ACK) and VM environments, including WebSphere on RHEL. The position offers hands-on exposure to both modern cloud-native services and traditional enterprise environments.

***Location: Onsite (hybrid) in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Responsibilities:

+ Document all troubleshooting and issue management actions via the electronic case management system.

+ Schedule resources and arrange work effort to cover weekends and/or on-call shifts to be available to be engaged in response to system-initiated alerts.

+ Monitoring case backlog to ensure we meet agreed SLAs with customers and internal KPI targets; share regular status reports with stakeholders.

+ Be able to work in a variety of different shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays to support a 24X7X365 environment. Shifts may fluctuate to meet business and staffing needs.

+ Design, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Alibaba Cloud, supporting both Kubernetes clusters and virtual machine (VM) environments.

+ Ensure high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency across cloud resources.

+ Support application deployments and day-to-day operations across Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, ACK) and VM-based environments (GCP Compute Engine, Azure VMs, Alibaba Cloud VMs).

+ Manage WebSphere Application Server on RHEL within GCP Compute Engine and Alibaba Cloud, including deployments, monitoring, and performance tuning.

+ Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to enable automated application deployments and infrastructure updates.

+ Execute rolling, blue/green, and standard deployment strategies, ensuring minimal downtime and release stability.

+ Develop and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform) to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.

+ Automate routine operational tasks, system maintenance, and application lifecycle processes using Python and Shell scripting.

+ Maintain version-controlled configurations following GitOps practices.

+ Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for applications and infrastructure using tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Stackdriver, or Azure Monitor.

+ Proactively monitor application performance and infrastructure health, responding to incidents and driving root cause analysis and blameless post-mortems.

+ Continuously improve observability coverage and incident response processes.

+ Apply security best practices across cloud environments, including IAM, Kubernetes RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.

+ Collaborate with security teams on vulnerability management, compliance activities, and incident resolution.

+ Work closely with application teams, SREs, and security teams to enhance deployment pipelines, application reliability, and operational efficiency.

+ Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and process improvements, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree required.

+ 2+ years of experience.

+ Basic knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, SQL, and markup/query languages such as HTML and PromQL

+ Experience and working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

+ Exposure to public cloud platforms—GCP, Azure, and/or AWS.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Understanding of infrastructure, system, and application health monitoring, including availability, latency, and performance metrics.

+ Foundational understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and firewall concepts.

+ Familiarity with REST API usage and automation

+ Entry-level cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Google Cloud Digital Leader).

+ Exposure to Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms is a plus.

+ Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Event Management), with experience in operational environments.

Salary: USD 75100.00 - USD 112700.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
