Job Description
**Hybrid:** This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Cole Engineering Center Tower, Warren, MI, three times per week, at minimum.
As a people leader in Customer Care and Aftersales Logistics team, you will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of individual contributors for one of the key areas within the Global Logistics and Containers Organization. The Systems and Analytics team has responsibility over Logistics Systems Management, Analytics strategy and execution, and systems integration execution. Additionally, this role supports budget and serves as project leader for 3PL IT workstreams and activity. Your role will include supervising the Systems Team as well as serving as a liaison between Operations, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Sales, Purchasing, GM IT, third-party vendors and our customers to provide data analysis and project support. The ideal candidate should have a proven history of supervising high-performance teams, taking initiative, dealing with ambiguity, problem solving and leading change in previous roles.
In this position you will lead the logistics systems & analytics initiatives, which include but are not limited to projects that improve system integration, dealer visibility, improve the dealer-to-dealer transactions as well as deliver better overall delivery experience for our end customers. You and your team will collaborate closely with the IT organization as well as business operations, our carriers, and our end customers. We will be creating new products and services for our customers, we are looking for someone with both strong quantitative and analytical skills, as well as a strong business acumen and the ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally and with our senior leadership. This is a “hands-on” role that will require you to not only be a leader but also create analytics tools and do analysis yourself
What You'll Do
+ Define, implement, and lead best practices and patterns for creating scalable, high-quality, executive visualizations
+ Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and provide rapid analytics solutions as a consultant and trusted partner
+ Gain a deep understanding of the business, think strategically and comprehensively, and effectively communicate complex solutions through storytelling
+ Retrieve data from different source systems, integrate large volumes of data, applying your strong expertise in SQL, Databricks, Power BI or equivalents
+ Manage the execution of Systems projects for Logistics while keeping to timelines
+ Support Financial performance metrics
+ Support budget development and performance management
+ Prioritize work for you and your team while completing assigned projects and ad hoc requests
+ Collaborate with business and IT leaders to develop plans for future projects and communicate plans accordingly
+ Report out weekly and, or monthly updates to Leadership
+ Strategize upcoming projects and ideal future state Logistics team processes
+ Support the business and Finance in developing the Logistics team budget, aligning spend across our network, and create reporting tools to enhance budget visibility
+ Support transformational change initiatives like WMS, ASRS, and customer enhancement tools
+ Support Logistics systems platforms ex) OSWAT

Additional Job Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience
+ 5+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in Purchasing, Warehousing/Operations, Supply chain, or Logistics
+ Database: strong proficiency in SQL, Cloud (Databricks), Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Knime, or ETL
+ Data Transformation: Understanding of data manipulation and transformation techniques
+ Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, Access, PowerPoint as well as overall computer proficiency
+ Strong oral & written communication skills
+ Ability to prepare and present material to Senior Leadership effectively
+ Elevated level of people skills to work effectively with others
+ Automotive service and parts experience
+ Ability to work independently from Manager while completing project tasks efficiently and timely
+ Understanding of Mainframe Systems
+ Understanding of WMS Systems
+ 10% travel to GM locations is required
What Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
+ 10+ years of experience as a BI Systems Engineer, Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, AI Engineer or equivalent with development, testing, deployment and management of BI, AI, and mining business insights with analytics
+ Familiarity with plant environment
+ Business Intelligence: Power BI preferred, Tableau/Cognos a plus
+ Understanding of Customer Care & Aftersales logistics network
+ Customer and, or Dealer contact interface experience
+ People Leader Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related advanced degree a plus
