If you are a Trade Compliance professional, based in Pittsburgh area, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! We're looking to add a **Trade Compliance Specialist** to our **Cranberry Township, PA** or **Round Rock, TX** office.
As a key member of our Systems and Software Trade Compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with numerous technical, legal, and regulatory requirements associated with the company's cross-border movement of goods and services; to mitigate the risk of such activities; optimize the financial impact of the company's trade compliance activities through trade program management.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
+ Support System and Software businesses' efforts to maintain and enhance processes and procedures regarding regulated trade activities (imports, exports, trade programs).
+ Correspond with external organizations such as customs agents, freight forwarders/agents, and carriers.
+ Resolution of compliance activities (government and/or corporate audits and inquiries; support on compliance issues).
+ Determine the proper jurisdiction and classification of company products/buyouts, technology, and services and any applicable export licenses.
+ Assist in performing annual U.S. Customs Reconciliation processes.
+ Work with the Global Trade Compliance team to implement strategy, seek automation opportunities, and leverage technologies to develop a best-in-class trade compliance program globally.
+ Participate in and perform training activities on Trade Compliance and regulatory requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:
+ Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
+ Minimum 5 years' experience in a trade compliance environment.
+ Knowledge, experience, and technical proficiency in an international environment, including commercial processes, product classifications (HS & ECCN), FTA, and working knowledge of Oracle, carrier manifest systems, screening tools, etc.
+ Regional exposure and experience in dealing with customs across the North America region
+ Proven ability to work within a matrix reporting structure
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities
+ Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to multi-task.
+ Travel up to 10%.
