    SUMMARY

    The Custodian is responsible for performing custodial duties and minor maintenance duties in order to ensure that Marrakech, Inc. facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    + Removes garbage from each office, conference rooms, hallways and bathrooms on a daily basis

    + Thoroughly clean administrative staff offices upon request

    + Dispose of removed garbage bags into the large dumpster

    + Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming; Steam-clean or shampoo carpets as needed; Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as needed

    + Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners

    + Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.

    + Dusts windowsills, pictures, tables, file cabinets and all areas as needed.

    + Cleans windows/glass as needed

    + Clean mirrors in the restrooms

    + Clean and disinfect all restrooms

    + Clean and disinfect water fountain

    + Ensures that all bathrooms have toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels

    + Clean kitchen area, wipe down countertops, clean microwave, clean the outside of the trash can and sweep and mop floors

    + Once per week clean the inside and outside of the refrigerator and freezer

    + Ensures that the kitchens have paper towels, hand soap and dish detergent

    + Wash floors in all bathrooms and kitchens

    + Wipe down all door handles with a disinfecting wipe

    + Change light bulbs and ceiling tiles as needed.

    + Use tools required in custodial and minor maintenance work, including electrical cleaning equipment.

    + Ensures that after all jobs materials are stored and secured properly for safety and for preventative theft measures.

    + Snow removal as needed

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

     

    + High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

    + M-F 2:30p-6:30p (20 PT)
