    Position: Director of Nursing (DON)

     

    Salary: $120,000 – $140,000/year

     

    Facility Size: 100 Beds

     

    Status: Special Focus Facility (SFF) – and we’re ready for transformation.

    We’re seeking a dynamic, driven, and inspiring Director of Nursing to lead our skilled nursing facility out of SFF status, eliminate agency dependency, and bring long-term stability to the clinical department. You’ll be the heartbeat of our leadership team, helping reshape our culture, drive outcomes, and build a team that’s proud to serve.

    What You’ll Be Responsible For:

    + Leading a passionate clinical team to achieve and maintain full regulatory compliance

    + Eliminating agency usage by building and retaining a strong, in-house nursing staff

    + Driving a proactive survey-readiness culture focused on sustainable quality improvement

    + Championing accountability, staff engagement, and resident-centered care

    + Collaborating closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to improve overall performance and morale

    What We’re Offering:

    Competitive salary: $120,000 – $140,000/year

    $10,000 Leadership Success Bonus awarded upon:

    Who We’re Looking For:

    + Active RN license in Iowa (or compact state)

    + 3+ years of experience as a DON or ADON in a skilled nursing facility

    + Proven track record of leading successful teams and survey outcomes

    + Strong leadership presence — firm, fair, and focused
