Job Title: Electronic Assembler
Department: Operations/Production
Reports To: Production Manager
SUMMARY: While working under moderate supervision the Electronic Assembler is responsible for performing mechanical, optical and electrical assembly and test operations that meet or exceed established company standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
+ Perform basic testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet
+ Work with team to meet all assembly requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or +six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Experience with soldering (IPC J-STD-001Certified preferred).
+ Experience with ESD
+ Experience with ISO 9001:2000
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, assembly drawings and procedure manuals. Employee must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must meet ITAR requirements for the definition of a U.S. person. Pursuant to the EAR and the ITAR, applicant must be a (i)U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. §1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

The employee must be able to lift 25 pounds on an occasional basis and must be able to perform various assembly operations requiring manual dexterity and repetitive motions. The employee will be required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and regularly requires walking, sitting, talking, and using hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job are close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus is required to produce and inspect product or components for quality and cleanliness.

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at B.E. Meyers & Co. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of potential discretionary bonuses.

Employee may be exposed to environments that require specific temperature limitations and may be exposed to chemicals, fumes, cleaners and solvents. Employee may be required to wear protective clothing and/or other apparatus for handling materials or work within ESD and Laser controlled areas including, gloves, cots, hair covers, ESD lab coats, safety glasses/goggles and face masks.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
