Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Food Services Supervisor, you will assist with daily management of staff functions including but not limited to workflow, call-in, scheduling and quality process within the department. As the Supervisor, you will supervise food service employees in the daily operations of the patient tray line, meal delivery and pick-up, and nourishment preparation.

+ You will directly supervise staff in kitchen and cafeteria

+ You will ensure the safe, sanitary and efficient delivery of meals to all customers

+ You will help maintain staff schedules

+ You will provide patient and employee rounding and respond in a timely manner to requests

+ You will be responsible for staff training, development and coaching

+ You will reward and recognize staff for individual and team successes

What qualifications you will need:

Experience

+ 2 years of experience in food service or hospital food service department

+ Experience in a supervisory position – preferred

Education

+ High School Graduate or GED Equivalent

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetic or Food Systems Management – preferred

Licenses and Certifications

+ Current Food Managers Certification

+ Current ServSafe Food Handler Permit, Travis/Williamsons County Health Department Food Handler Card or State Food Safety permit within 7 days of hire
