The Training and Organizational Specialist will develop and deliver classroom-based instruction and provide on-the-job training to employees in an aerospace manufacturing environment. In this position, the Training and Organizational Specialist will work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
Requirements
3–5 Years of experience in Training and Development, including:
+ Delivering classroom-based instruction
+ Providing on-the-job training (OJT)
+ Designing and developing technical course materials and curriculum
+ Working in Manufacturing (Aerospace) environment.
+ Prior experience in a manufacturing environment , with a strong preference for aerospace mechanical assembly or related technical fields.
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams (production, quality, engineering, etc.).
+ Proven capability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively to a variety of learners, including new and experienced manufacturing employees.
+ Experience interpreting and using technical documentation , such as engineering drawings , work instructions , and specifications , in a training context.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio) for developing training content, tracking learning progress, and producing instructional visuals.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
+ Willingness and flexibility to work across shifts (day and night) to meet training needs.
+ Able to perform moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in aerospace manufacturing, particularly in mechanical assembly, tooling, or production support roles.
Professional certification in training or instructional design (e.g., ATD APTD/CPTD, Train-the-Trainer, Instructional Systems Design, or CTT+) is highly desirable. Equivalent experience in structured technical training environments, such as U.S. military occupational or instructor programs, will also be considered.
Lean manufacturing experience—especially in aerospace assembly—with exposure to standard work, visual controls, Poka-Yoke, and tools like 5S, Kanban, and AIWs is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, including adult learning theory and hands-on technical training delivery.
Experience interpreting and using aerospace specifications, engineering drawings, and work instructions in training or manufacturing settings.
Technical writing experience, including the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work Plans, work instructions, and other process documentation.
Associate degree or higher in Education, Instructional Design, Industrial Technology, Aerospace Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
