    Full Spectrum Lab Services from CBRE offers a professional suite of services to a variety of clients in the life sciences industry, including those in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, and genomics, as well as contract research organizations (CROs) and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).

     

    About the role

     

    The LIS Technician will be responsible for installs, calibration, repairs, and preventive maintenance of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or mechanical instrumentation.

    What you'll do

    + Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, calibrate, test, and perform periodic maintenance of specialty equipment, systems, and controls.

    + Operate electronic test equipment, including multimeters, frequency generators, and counters, galvanometers, digital logic probes, and oscilloscopes.

    + Perform basic to complex repairs and coordinate the removal/replacement of instruments/devices needing overhaul during scheduled maintenance.

    + Reinstall, test, evaluate, calibrate, and maintain instruments or devices upon completion of repairs.

    + Locate part sources, estimate costs, and prepare requisitions.

    + Coordinate with outside contractors regarding repairs covered by maintenance agreements.

    + Communicate with customer staff and outside contractors in the calibration, repair, and operation of equipment, as needed.

    + Document daily records of inspections, maintenance activity, repairs, and other work performed within approved guidelines and procedures.

    + Raise instrument performance concerns or breakdown support for resolution to higher-level staff or specialty vendors.

    What You’ll Need

    + High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and related experience and/or training. Associate's degree in scientific field of study preferred or equivalent related work experience.

    + One to Two years of experience in instrumentation and control or installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing equipment or equivalent experience in a regulated laboratory environment is strongly preferred.

    + Knowledge in Maximo system is highly desirable

    + Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    + Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
