Job Purpose:
The FTR role exists to support the (CSE) Sterile Insect Technique department in Mexico performing all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft assigned to customers .
Duties:
+ Perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft assuring aircraft is available for customer flight missions on an ongoing basis
+ Maintain parts inventory and service vehicle, including driving from one location to another at the customer’s or companies request
+ Maintain aircraft cleanliness to the highest standards
+ Assist other company FTR’s as needed or instructed
+ Communicate critical information to company headquarters, establish relationship with FBO s and other service providers at each location the plane is stationed
+ Act as company/customer relationship representative with tasks as requested by the customer , assists the customer with aircraft servicing pre/post flight
+ Has independent discretion and responsibility to develop work schedules and assignments to accomplish the job responsibilities
+ Responsible for booking own travel and lodging details and providing travel paperwork and receipts to corporate accounting every week
+ Responsible for emailing aircraft status, maintenance paperwork , daily location and activities via email/fax form to applicable distribution list provided by flight management
+ Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ FAA A&P certificate required
+ Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record
+ Ability to travel and make travel arrangements on short notice for movement from one fire location to another
+ Ability to be away from home location for 1 year per customers needs
+ Good teamwork, strong initiative, communication, problem solving, and decision making skills
+ Computer skills including email and submission of detailed maintenance and flight information
+ Strong customer service skills
+ Ability to work a schedule that is variable depending on the flight schedule of the plane including weekends and variable daily schedules
+ Highly resourceful
Job Experience:
Minimum of 2 years aircraft maintenance experience. King Air and/or turbine engine maintenance experience preferred
