**Rate:** $80/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled **Senior Cloud Developer** with expertise in **AWS** , **Scala** , and **Python** to design, develop, and maintain **cloud-native applications** using **microservices architecture** . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building **scalable** , **resilient distributed systems** , and strong knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure and DevOps best practices.
Core Responsibilities
Development & Architecture
1. Microservices Development
+ Design and implement microservices using **Scala** and **Python**
+ Build **event-driven architectures** using AWS services such as **EventBridge** , **SQS** , and **SNS**
+ Develop **RESTful** and **GraphQL APIs** using **API Gateway**
2. AWS Cloud Architecture
+ Architect and deploy scalable solutions using AWS container services ( **ECS/EKS** )
+ Implement **serverless architectures** with **AWS Lambda**
+ Design data persistence strategies using **Aurora** and **DynamoDB**
+ Optimize application performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
Infrastructure & DevOps
+ Implement **Infrastructure as Code** using **CloudFormation**
+ Configure and maintain **CI/CD pipelines** (e.g., CodeBuild, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy)
+ Monitor system health using **CloudWatch** and **AWS X-Ray**
+ Design and apply **auto-scaling** and **high availability** solutions
Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise
Programming Languages
+ **5+ years** of experience with **Scala**
+ **3+ years** of hands-on **Python** development
+ Experience with **functional programming** patterns
AWS Services
+ Proficient in **ECS** , **EKS** , **Lambda** , **API Gateway**
+ Expertise in **DynamoDB** , **Aurora** , **CloudWatch** , **X-Ray**
+ Experience building **event-driven systems** with **SNS** , **SQS** , and **EventBridge**
Experience Requirements
+ **5+ years** in software development
+ **3+ years** building solutions on the **AWS cloud platform**
+ **3+ years** of experience in **microservices architecture**
+ Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science** or related field
