A Glimpse of the Job
Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School is seeking an organized and gregarious Graduate Program Coordinator II, responsible for recruiting MS Marketing candidates for both the on-campus and flex online programs. You will initiate and execute event planning for successful recruitment and orientation events. As the Graduate Program Coordinator II, you will also coordinate and support admission functions - such as interviews and onboarding as you see the results of your successful recruitment of exceptional students.
Essential Duties/Tasks
Recruiting, Implementation and Program Planning -
+ Attends professional events in and around the State (and out of state) to represent the MS Marketing program.
+ Recruits MS Marketing candidates for both on-campus and flex online programs.
+ Represents the MS Marketing program at recruiting fairs around the country (and possibly internationally).
+ Will be required to drive a university or other motor vehicle to attend MS Marketing program fairs around the country.
+ Builds and maintains relationships with distinguished alumni and industry executives to identify and attract potential students.
+ This may require driving a university or other motor vehicle.
+ Identifies and recommends improvements to recruitment processes.
+ Proposes plan and execution of marketing event strategies used for recruiting for the MS Marketing program.
+ Executes Information Sessions/events online and in person including weekend events.
+ This may require driving a university or other motor vehicle.
+ Plans, coordinates, and updates information session materials and deliver sessions.
+ Evaluates current recruitment program against program goals and objectives.
+ Participates in developing departmental strategic plan based on unit goals.
+ Works alongside the MarCom representative to coordinate program communications and marketing
+ Stays current with recruitment programs at peer and aspirant schools.
Admission Processing -
+ Review and evaluate applications for the MS Marketing program, making recommendations for interviews and admission.
+ Compile and analyze admissions data and program statistics for continuous improvement.
+ Conduct applicant interviews for candidates in the MS Marketing program and makes recommendations on decisions.
+ Onboard students up to and including enrollment.
Event Coordination & Other Duties as Assigned -
+ Plans and executes recruiting events such as information sessions, admitted student events, and networking events.
+ Meets with prospective students on an individual basis to promote the best fit for MS Marketing programs and to aid them in planning their applications.
+ Responds to inquiries regarding program offerings and student financial aid options.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree.
+ One year of related experience.
Required Licenses and Certifications
+ Class C Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s degree in business administration, education administration, marketing, sales, or another related field
+ Up to four years of experience in graduate admissions, graduate/working professional recruiting, sales, marketing, business, and/or higher education with at least two years in a direct selling or recruiting role
+ Reporting proficiency with MS Excel
+ Experience with graphic design apps or software (Ex. MailChimp, Canva, Adobe Express) to create social media posts, and flyers
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation skills
+ High level of proficiency in computer skills including spreadsheets, electronic communication, and web-based applications.
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
+ Demonstrated ability to develop and manage constituent relationships.
+ Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with current and prospective students, faculty, staff, and all constituencies.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional work environment with a high degree of professionalism, accuracy, and consistency
+ Ability to work independently, cooperatively with a team/other.
+ Self-starter with excellent time-management skills.
+ Excellent writing and communication skills

Important Position Details: This position requires some travel, including flying or driving a university or other motor vehicle to attend socials, events, and recruiting fairs. The position also requires the ability to travel in USA and Internationally and will require some nights and weekends.
