About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer to join our Secure Network Services (SNS) group within our Chief Technology Office (CTO). Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com .
You will drive enterprise-wide automation initiatives that reduce operational overhead, accelerate delivery pipelines, and enhance system reliability. In this role that is critical to our digital transformation strategy, you will serve as a technical lead in designing, implementing, and scaling automation frameworks across development, testing, and infrastructure operations as you deliver high-quality engineering solutions aligned with business objectives, maintain an up-to-date automation roadmap and ensure timely project delivery.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead implementation of scalable automation solutions for Continuous Implementation/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and test automation
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Quality Assurance (QA), Security, Product) to identify automation opportunities and eliminate manual bottlenecks
+ Lead the development of reusable automation frameworks and tools that improve consistency, reliability, and speed of delivery
+ Monitor and optimize automation performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime
+ Apply knowledge and champion best practices in automation, code quality, and DevOps culture across teams
+ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making and roadmap planning
+ Identify gaps, risks and issues and navigate organizational structure to resolve them
Required Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 4+ years of experience in automation engineering, DevOps, or software development
+ 4+ years of experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, Terraform, and Selenium
+ 4+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
+ 4+ years of experience delivering automation solutions that drive measurable business outcomes
+ 4+ years of experience leveraging excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications:
+ Experience with Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technologies
+ Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
+ Experience in automations and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) environments
+ BS/BA degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related studies
