About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support and enhance our Actimize-based financial crime and fraud detection systems specifically for Currency Transaction Reporting. This role is part of our Chief Operating Office Technology group, which supports key risk, compliance, and regulatory initiatives across the bank. This resource will lead the design, development, and implementation of Actimize solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with Wells Fargo’s risk and compliance standards.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
+ Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
+ Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
+ Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
+ Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
+ Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
+ Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 5+ years of experience with Actimize platform (RCM, AIS, ActOne).
+ Strong proficiency in Java, SQL, and JavaScript.
+ Experience with Actimize plugin development, custom profiles, and case management workflows.
+ Familiarity with CTR systems.
+ Proven ability to lead complex technology initiatives and cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:
+ Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
+ Familiarity with currency transactions reporting
Job Expectations:
+ Lead the L3 Production support of Actimize ActOne, RCM, and AIS modules.
+ Facilitate coordination with vendor to quickly resolve impacts to Regulatory Operations.
+ Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements and deliver Actimize-based solutions.
+ Drive automation, performance tuning, and system integration efforts.
+ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
+ Ensure compliance with Wells Fargo’s risk management policies and technology governance.
+ Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
