    The **Technical Manager for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platform** plays a critical leadership role in unlocking the power of data at Wawa. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of analytics by delivering cutting-edge platforms and solutions that empower teams across the business to make fast, informed decisions.

     

    In this role, you’ll lead the charge in driving the full analytics lifecycle — from data capture and transformation to advanced reporting, dashboards, and actionable insights. You’ll work at the intersection of technology and business, partnering with leaders across the organization to deliver reliable, scalable analytics solutions that fuel growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

     

    Your mission: deliver trusted data, elevate analytics capabilities, and ensure seamless platform performance and governance — all while leading a talented technical team and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with business intelligence at Wawa.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Lead the design, delivery, and evolution of Wawa’s analytics platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

    + Partner with business leaders to identify critical KPIs, create visualizations, and deliver actionable insights.

    + Ensure platform governance, data integrity, and security compliance.

    + Oversee integration of analytics platforms with enterprise systems and manage sunsetting of outdated tools.

    + Provide hands-on leadership in data analysis, platform optimization, and issue resolution.

    + Mentor and develop high-performing analytics team; foster innovation and collaboration.

    + Manage vendor relationships and key projects from inception to delivery.

    + Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and Infrastructure teams on capacity, performance, and risk management.

    + Establish production support standards, proactively resolve platform issues, and manage escalations.

    Essential Functions:

    + Exhibit Wawa values and a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality

    + Handle multiple priorities simultaneously and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

    + Ability to be hands on and create or analyze comprehensive reports

    + Establish and maintain a positive environment, Drive creativity, and teamwork

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in information technology or engineering field preferred

    + Experience in managing, and implementing 7x24x365 e-commerce analytics offering

    + Minimum of 12 years previous working experience in IT with 10+ years of experience in BI/Analytics Tech delivery and managing 3-4 BI leads

    + Experience in working with and managing teams that are both local and global

    + Hands-on experience in MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud and AI driven analytics tools are highly preferred

    + Knowledge of Cloud Data platform, and Business Intelligence tools and solutions strongly preferred

    + Strong knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehousing, Data Analytics and Data Governance required

    + Knowledge of Wawa stores or retail/e-commerce business flows and operations are beneficial

    + Prior applications development experience leveraging a software development lifecycle methodology is a must
