Description

Our client is seeking a permanent full-time Legal Manager to join their team. This role will develop, implement and oversee compliance, regulatory and legal adherence within the organization, ensuring all operations align with industry standards and corporate governance principles. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in manufacturing, retail, wholesale, and legal compliance.

• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.

• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address potential risks or violations.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure corporate governance standards are maintained across all business functions.

• Provide expert guidance on legal and regulatory matters related to manufacturing, retail, and wholesale operations.

• Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies and senior management, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.

• Educate staff on compliance requirements and best practices through training sessions and workshops.

• Stay updated on changes in regulatory laws and industry standards to advise the company effectively.

• Handle investigations into potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.

• Ensure contracts, agreements, and business practices align with corporate legal policies.

• Support cross-functional teams in implementing compliance-related initiatives and improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal and compliance management, particularly within manufacturing, retail, or wholesale sectors.

• Strong knowledge of regulatory laws and corporate governance practices.

• Proven ability to develop and implement compliance frameworks.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and enforce solutions.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across various teams.

• Familiarity with corporate legal procedures and documentation.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
