Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in Newport News, Virginia. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations within a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in accounting practices and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll, including performing payroll allocations for month-end financial close.

• Manage accounts receivable tasks such as receiving and posting payments accurately.

• Handle accounts payable duties, including invoice matching, data entry, and maintaining vendor files.

• Organize, store, and maintain payroll and financial records to ensure accessibility and compliance.

• Perform invoice processing and data entry with precision and efficiency.

• Utilize SAP and ADP systems to support payroll and accounting activities.

• Assist with additional accounting or administrative tasks as needed to support team operations.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks and ADP Payroll systems.

• Strong skills in data entry and invoice processing.

• Experience with payroll management for small teams (under 100 employees).

• Excellent organizational abilities, particularly in maintaining financial records.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
