    Robert Half Accountemps (Midland, TX)


    Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a prominent oil and gas operator in Midland, Texas. This is a long-term contract position with the potential for permanent employment. The role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently manage accounting tasks while supporting field operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct quality control checks on vendor submissions, ensuring compliance with company guidelines, and accurately code and route invoices for approval.

    • Verify and confirm information in OpenTicket, maintaining a daily output of at least 100 tickets once trained.

    • Generate cost tracking reports from OpenTicket for field foremen and superintendents, utilizing basic Excel skills as needed.

    • Manage office supply orders and address equipment needs for field operations personnel.

    • Participate in meetings at the field office to establish strong working relationships with the operations team.

    • Provide assistance to field personnel with administrative and operational tasks as required. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or similar accounting roles.

    • Proficiency in data entry and invoice processing.

    • Familiarity with OpenInvoice or similar systems.

    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel for generating reports.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet high-volume processing expectations.

    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with field operations personnel.

    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
