Lisa Cole with Robert Half is partnering with a great company that is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Finance Manager to lead the accounting and reporting functions for a large stable company in the Sacramento area. This critical leadership role will oversee all aspects of settlements, compliance with contracts, and financial communication with internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of finance and strong leadership capabilities to manage a dedicated accounting team. Key Responsibilities

+ Ensure accurate and timely grower payments in line with contractual agreements and payment programs, including disbursement by entity, tonnage, or product variety.

+ Provide oversight and direction to the grower accounting team, ensuring alignment with contract terms and resolution of payment issues.

+ Maintain accountability for the accuracy of the Grower Information System (GIS), including input integrity and output reliability.

+ Collaborate with Member Relations and Regional Management to update and interpret grower contracts and ensure accurate financial reporting.

+ Communicate with growers regarding deliveries and payments, including preparation and execution of weekly advances and processing of deductions.

+ Prepare financial work papers to support grower tax reporting (e.g., 1099, K-1), and present financial analyses and payment progress to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

+ Support and participate in special projects, including preparation for quarterly Board meetings.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.

+ 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience

+ Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing accounting teams.

+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and influence cross-functionally.

+ Advanced analytical capabilities and attention to detail, with a strong grasp of financial planning, reporting, and contract interpretation.

+ Proficiency in standard business software including Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools highly desired.
