Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract to hire basis with one of our clients in the medical center.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain organized documentation for account balances.

• Support audit processes by providing detailed financial documentation.

• Conduct accounting research and analysis to address complex financial topics.

• Collaborate with operational departments, Accounts Payable, and Payroll teams to streamline monthly accounting processes.

• Participate in the general accounting month-end close process and ensure timely completion.

• Assist with disbursements accounting, including managing Accounts Payable and Payroll operations.

• Perform ad hoc accounting tasks based on departmental initiatives and individual expertise.

• Work closely with senior accountants and managers for task prioritization and skill development.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business is required.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high work ethic.

• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to challenges, and demonstrate a history of achievement.

• Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and general ledger processes.

• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable and supporting payroll-related accounting.

• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud or similar accounting software is preferred.

• Candidates with advanced qualifications, such as a Master’s degree or Big 4 accounting experience, are encouraged to apply.
