    Overview:

    Our prestigious law firm in Saratoga Springs, NY is seeking a skilled and experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of New York's real estate laws, demonstrate excellent negotiation skills, and have a strong track record of successfully managing real estate transactions for a variety of clients. This role involves working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment where attention to detail and client satisfaction are paramount.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Transactional Work: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, leases, and other real estate-related legal documents (Source: SG25 US Legal.docx).

     

    Title and Due Diligence: Examine title reports, surveys, and property descriptions to identify risks and ensure compliance with New York real estate laws.

     

    Litigation Support: Represent clients during real estate litigation or disputes, including landlord-tenant issues and zoning matters (Source: SG25 US Legal.docx, Practice Areas: Litigation).

     

    Closings: Act as a key advisor during real estate deal closings, ensuring that all aspects of legal compliance are met.

     

    Client Counseling: Provide expert legal advice to clients, including developers, real estate investors, landlords, and tenants, on matters such as transactions, compliance, and risk management.

     

    Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on and ensure compliance with city, state, and federal real estate regulations, ordinances, and zoning laws (Source: SG25 US Legal.docx, Practice Areas: Ethics and Corporate Governance).

     

    Collaboration: Coordinate with other attorneys, paralegals, and departments within the firm on cross-disciplinary matters, such as tax or estate planning involving real estate assets.

    Requirements:

    Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

     

    Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.

     

    A minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing real estate law in New York (Source: SG25 US Legal.docx).

     

    Strong knowledge of New York real estate laws, contracts, and zoning regulations.

     

    Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

     

    Experience managing real estate closings and addressing title issues.

     

    Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload efficiently.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Familiarity with landlord-tenant law and property development.

     

    Experience handling real estate litigation matters.

     

    Strong relationships with real estate brokerage firms, title companies, and government agencies.
