Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing high-volume invoice processing and improving accounts payable workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Process 75-100 invoices weekly, including both purchase order (PO) and non-PO-based invoices.

• Utilize P21 software to accurately enter, review, and ensure the consistency of invoice data.

• Address and resolve invoice backlogs by collaborating closely with team members.

• Identify inefficiencies in accounts payable processes and propose solutions for workflow optimization.

• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate coding and timely approval of invoices.

• Assist with routine payment activities such as check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

• Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Support departmental goals through effective teamwork and communication. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, with knowledge of both PO and non-PO invoice processing.

• Familiarity with P21 software or similar systems is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills to assess processes and implement improvements.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for managing high-volume tasks.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and internal departments.

• Proficiency in payment operations, including ACH and check runs.

• Hands-on approach to tackling backlogs and system-related challenges.

• Strong understanding of account coding and invoice management.
