Description We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist II to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This role focuses on supporting international employee benefits strategies, ensuring smooth implementation, and maintaining compliance with local regulations. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to collaborate with global stakeholders and contribute to the design and execution of Amazon’s benefits programs.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing and managing benefit programs that align with Amazon's Global Benefits Framework while meeting market standards and compliance requirements.
• Support the implementation of approved benefit programs by coordinating vendor selection, creating project plans, and documenting processes to ensure a seamless transition.
• Collaborate with benefits managers to integrate benefits programs for acquisitions in regions with established plans.
• Ensure benefits programs comply with local regulations and Amazon's benefit philosophy, including monitoring financial impacts and future funding requirements.
• Manage relationships with benefit vendors, overseeing performance and costs for new entity setups.
• Partner with HR leaders, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and other stakeholders to track progress and ensure alignment on benefits workstreams.
• Work with internal teams and external consultants to evaluate compliance needs and implement tailored benefits solutions.
• Provide input on written proposals and cost impact analyses to support benefit design strategies.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness and competitiveness of implemented benefits programs. Requirements • Strong experience in benefits program design and implementation, including financial, health, and welfare benefits.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements and local regulatory standards for employee benefits.
• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and monitor performance across multiple countries.
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and benefits integration.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to develop and execute detailed project plans.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and their intersection with benefits administration.
