Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This position will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external auditors to manage financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sections of consolidated financial statements and detailed footnotes, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory disclosure requirements.

• Manage SEC tagging and review of company filings to uphold accuracy and compliance.

• Assist in filing financial documents such as 10-Q, 10-K, 11-K, and earnings releases (8-K) with the SEC.

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for the organization and its subsidiaries.

• Analyze and reconcile assigned accounts to maintain compliance with internal controls and policies.

• Develop and generate reports to fulfill internal and external reporting needs.

• Complete and submit required government reports outside of SEC filings.

• Collaborate with external auditors, addressing inquiries and providing necessary documentation.

• Handle special accounting projects as assigned to support organizational goals.

• Stay current with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements to ensure regulatory compliance. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.

• Proven experience in month-end close processes, including preparation and analysis.

• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and journal entry creation.

• Proficiency in account and bank reconciliations.

• Extensive knowledge of SEC reporting and compliance.

• Ability to design and produce accurate financial reports.

• Effective communication skills for responding to internal and external inquiries.
