Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Des Plaines, Illinois. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills who thrives in fast-paced environments and can effectively manage invoicing and backlog processes. If you have expertise in accounts receivable and are proficient in advanced Excel, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Address and resolve daily and weekly backlog issues in invoicing and AR activities.

• Perform billing functions and ensure timely generation of invoices.

• Handle cash applications, including posting payments and reconciling discrepancies.

• Conduct commercial collections to recover outstanding balances.

• Monitor and report on cash activity to maintain financial accuracy.

• Develop and implement strategies to streamline AR processes.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer account issues.

• Maintain organized records of financial transactions and communications. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.

• Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Strong knowledge of cash applications and billing processes.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to manage high volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Prior experience in commercial collections is preferred.
