Description
We are looking for a skilled Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and managing employee benefit programs and compensation strategies to ensure alignment with industry standards and organizational goals. Your expertise will help enhance employee satisfaction while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and oversee employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, wellness initiatives, and retirement plans.
• Negotiate with vendors and brokers to secure cost-effective and high-quality benefits solutions.
• Ensure all benefits and compensation practices comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
• Design and maintain equitable salary structures, pay grades, and incentive programs to support organizational goals.
• Conduct benchmarking and salary surveys to align compensation practices with market standards.
• Partner with HR and leadership teams to provide guidance on job evaluations, promotions, and salary adjustments.
• Lead annual compensation review processes, including bonus planning and salary adjustments.
• Develop and execute performance management programs that align employee goals with business objectives.
• Train managers on conducting performance evaluations, setting measurable objectives, and delivering constructive feedback.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and employee development needs.
An ideal candidate will have 5+ years of HR experience with an emphasis on total rewards, in addition to a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or similar. Experience (10+ years in total rewards) will be considered in lieu of degree.
This position is only open to candidates local to the Twin Cities, and is primarily remote (1-2 days onsite/month). Candidates must be CURRENT residents of Minnesota for consideration. Beginning pay for this role is $100-105k, depending on qualifications, with a discretionary bonus potential of up to 20%. Requirements • Proven experience in benefits administration and compensation management within a detail-oriented environment.
• Strong knowledge of benefits design, compliance regulations, and total rewards strategies.
• Expertise in conducting market benchmarking, salary surveys, and compensation analysis.
• Familiarity with performance management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and brokers to optimize benefit offerings.
• Proficient in relevant software and systems, such as Paylocity or similar platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with HR teams and leadership.
