Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to support attorneys in all stages of complex litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical records review, case management, and trial preparation, particularly within the areas of medical negligence, wrongful death, or personal injury law.

Responsibilities:

+ Manage a high-volume caseload of plaintiff or defense medical malpractice matters from intake through trial or settlement

+ Obtain, review, summarize, and analyze medical records, billing records, and expert reports

+ Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and motions

+ Coordinate and track deadlines, litigation calendars, and case milestones

+ Assist in locating and working with expert witnesses and managing expert discovery

+ Organize exhibits, prepare trial binders, and support attorneys with trial preparation and presentation

+ Communicate with clients, providers, opposing counsel, and court staff professionally and effectively

+ Maintain case files and documentation using case management software (e.g., Needles, Clio, or similar)

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ 3–5+ years of paralegal experience, with a focus on medical malpractice litigation

+ Strong knowledge of medical terminology and experience reviewing medical records

+ Familiarity with state and federal court rules, including electronic filing procedures

+ Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support software

+ Paralegal Certificate or equivalent education preferred
