Description

We are looking for an experienced Attorney with a strong background in real estate finance to join our team remotely! This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail who has a deep understanding of affordable housing transactions, commercial lending, and complex financial structures. The position offers an opportunity to work on high-level projects involving institutional lenders and capital providers.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate loan documents for commercial real estate transactions, including construction loans and bridge loans.

• Represent institutional lenders and capital providers in affordable housing developments, particularly those involving low-income housing tax credits.

• Conduct thorough reviews of title and survey documents and oversee real estate-related due diligence processes.

• Manage syndicated credit facilities and secured or unsecured lines of credit for various real estate projects.

• Collaborate on bond financing transactions and provide expertise in sophisticated financial structures.

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to affordable housing and real estate finance.

• Advise on construction and term loans for commercial real estate projects.

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, offering strategic counsel in real estate finance matters.

• Monitor industry trends and apply insights to ongoing and future transactions.

Requirements

• Active bar membership in the state of Maryland or the state where practicing.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in real estate finance, with a focus on affordable housing.

• Proven ability to draft and negotiate loan agreements and related documentation.

• Expertise in affordable housing developments, including low-income housing tax credits.

• Familiarity with construction and term loans, syndicated credit facilities, and commercial real estate transactions.

• Strong understanding of bond financing and complex financial structures.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to oversee due diligence processes.

• Effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
