Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Six Sigma Black Belt Project Manager to lead strategic process improvement initiatives within a paper and pulp manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for identifying, managing, and executing high-impact projects that drive operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead cross-functional teams to execute Lean Six Sigma projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with business goals.
+ Analyze complex manufacturing processes using Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, DFSS) to identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements.
+ Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other Lean tools to drive continuous improvement.
+ Develop and track project charters, timelines, budgets, and performance metrics (e.g., cost savings, cycle time reduction, yield improvement).
+ Mentor and coach Green Belts and other team members in Six Sigma tools and techniques.
+ Collaborate with plant leadership, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure project success and knowledge transfer.
+ Present project updates and results to senior leadership, including ROI analysis and risk mitigation strategies.
+ Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
+ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ or equivalent).
+ 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a Six Sigma or continuous improvement role.
+ Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
+ Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and project management software.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills.
+ Proven track record of delivering measurable business results through process improvement.
