Description We are looking for an experienced Legal Manager to join our team in Sacramento, California. This role is pivotal in ensuring legal compliance across the organization, providing expert guidance on regulatory matters, and handling sensitive legal issues with professionalism. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of legal processes to support both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Offer strategic advice and guidance on legal compliance matters to internal teams and senior leadership.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops on legal topics to ensure organizational awareness.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Represent the organization in client and vendor meetings, addressing legal concerns and providing solutions.
• Manage and monitor deadlines for multiple tasks while maintaining attention to accuracy and detail.
• Address complaints, fair hearings, and vendor audit concerns with professionalism and discretion.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve sensitive legal issues effectively.
• Ensure all legal documentation and processes align with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Support litigation-related tasks, including trial preparation and discovery.
• Utilize case management software to organize and oversee legal workflows efficiently. Requirements • Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution, with demonstrated legal expertise.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in discovery, civil litigation, and trial preparation.
• Proficiency in using case management software and Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate to advanced level.
• Strong knowledge of statutes, regulations, and organizational policies, with an ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize competing tasks.
• Detail-oriented approach and interpersonal skills when engaging with stakeholders.
• Experience attending hearings and managing litigation-related processes.
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
