Description We are looking for an experienced IT Auditor to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive audits of IT systems and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and identifying opportunities for improvement. Your expertise will help strengthen the organization's internal controls and mitigate technology-related risks.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct audits of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to assess operational efficiency, security, and compliance with industry standards.
• Evaluate internal controls within IT operations to ensure the integrity of corporate data and financial information.
• Perform testing on various platforms, operating systems, and procedures to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
• Provide advisory recommendations to management on the design of internal controls for new IT systems and infrastructure prior to implementation.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure alignment between audit processes and organizational strategies.
• Offer guidance on IT policies, procedures, and guidelines to optimize their effectiveness before publication.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT departments to promote control awareness and risk mitigation strategies.
• Identify opportunities for value-added projects that enhance collaboration between Audit and IT.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, including cloud platforms, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, to inform audit practices. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT auditing, compliance, risk management, or advisory roles.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as COBIT and IT General Controls (ITGC).
• Proficiency in auditing tools and methodologies, including SAP and audit programs.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and exposure to cloud technologies like Azure.
• Certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Information Systems Security Specialist (CISSP) are preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
