Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will manage corporate tax compliance, optimize tax strategies, and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate across departments and contribute to the company's financial health.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit accurate federal, state, and local tax returns, adhering to deadlines.

• Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, maintaining meticulous records.

• Provide analysis and recommendations for tax-efficient strategies to minimize liabilities.

• Collaborate with management to evaluate the tax implications of business decisions and offer solutions.

• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to address tax-related processes.

• Conduct thorough research on tax issues, interpret legal requirements, and deliver actionable insights.

• Review transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring the integration of accurate tax data.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on various tax matters.

• Coordinate with external tax consultants or advisors when necessary.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax compliance and related functions.

• Proficiency in handling federal and multi-state tax returns.

• CPA - must have

• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax and annual income tax provision processes.

• Experience with sales and use tax compliance.

• Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify opportunities for tax savings.

• Familiarity with tax laws and regulations at the federal and state levels.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
