Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in West Des Moines, Iowa. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounting and a passion for ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. If you have experience in accounts payable, reconciliation, and intermediate Excel skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Process and code invoices accurately while ensuring proper account coding and compliance with company policies.

• Manage and execute Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs in a timely manner.

• Reconcile accounts to maintain financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address payment inquiries and ensure smooth operations.

• Maintain detailed records of accounts payable transactions for audits and reporting purposes.

• Utilize intermediate Excel skills to analyze financial data and prepare relevant reports.

• Support the payables team with daily operations and project-based tasks as needed.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

• Proficiency in coding invoices and account coding processes.

• Strong understanding of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check run procedures.

• Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to create formulas and analyze data.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies independently.

• Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.
