Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic finance team in Newport Beach, California. This role is ideal for someone eager to make a measurable impact while managing payroll processes across both domestic and international locations. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in payroll operations while contributing to the development of streamlined systems and practices.
Responsibilities:
• Manage comprehensive payroll processing for U.S. employees while overseeing international payroll operations through external providers.
• Collaborate with external payroll vendors to address adjustments, audits, and compliance-related inquiries.
• Stay informed on local and international payroll regulations, ensuring compliance with tax laws and industry standards.
• Calculate and record global commission and bonus accruals, ensuring accurate reporting and distribution.
• Reconcile payroll benefits and deductions with financial statements and general ledger, supporting month-end close and audit processes.
• Facilitate the accurate processing and payment of global pension, retirement, and other benefits in accordance with local legislation.
• Analyze semi-monthly payroll variance reports to identify discrepancies and ensure transparency.
• Manage regulatory filings and year-end reporting requirements, including W-2s, 1095-Cs, and international equivalents.
• Enhance payroll operations by implementing automation, system upgrades, and robust policies to improve compliance and efficiency.
• Address complex international payroll scenarios such as expatriate assignments and cross-border payments, ensuring adherence to regulations. Requirements • Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll for multi-state and international employees.
• Familiarity with payroll platforms such as Paylocity and ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices.
• Ability to handle payroll for mid-sized organizations ranging from 101 to 500 employees.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency in managing third-party service providers and delegating tasks effectively.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in addressing payroll challenges.
