Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to oversee comprehensive accounting operations and financial reporting for our organization. This long-term contract position is based in Lighthouse Point, Florida, and offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with leadership while managing critical financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in bookkeeping, financial reconciliation, and reporting, as well as a proactive approach to improving internal systems.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy across all financial statements.

• Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Manage accounts payable processes, including vendor relationships and statement reconciliations.

• Handle accounts receivable and bank reconciliations with precision and timeliness.

• Process payroll and oversee payroll-related liabilities to ensure compliance.

• Create cash flow forecasts and provide regular updates to leadership.

• Monitor budgets by department and generate variance reports.

• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.

• Support year-end audits, tax preparation, and timely filing of 1099 forms.

• Collaborate with leadership to refine internal accounting processes and reporting systems. Requirements • At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.

• Familiarity with financial forecasting and budgeting.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict deadlines.

• Strong communication skills and ability to present financial findings to leadership.

• Experience in retail or product-based businesses is a plus.
