    Position description

    The UCLA Department of Anthropology seeks part-time lecturers with outstanding teaching records to fill positions for academic year 2025-26. Successful candidates will teach the following upper-division undergraduate courses:

     

    Anthro 151: Ethnography of Everyday Speech (Spring 2026)

     

    Anthro 153: Language and Identity (Winter 2026)

     

    Anthro 152R: Language, Culture, and Education (Fall 2025)

     

    Anthro 154P: Multilingualism (Spring 2026)

     

    Anthro 159: Selected Topics in Linguistic Anthropology (Fall 2025)

    Applicants are required to hold a Ph.D. at the time of appointment, and preference will be given to those who have demonstrated effectiveness in lecture courses.
