If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Responsibilities

+ Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate plan of care for the patient/family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.

+ Meets the educational needs of the patient and family, utilizing appropriate principles of teaching/learning.

+ Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care.

+ Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements.

+ Participates in performance improvement activities and attends education programs, unit meetings and assigned committees.

Qualifications

+ Associate's Degree current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role.

+ No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training

+ Bachelor's Degree Preferred for all direct care nurses hired after September 1, 2013. Direct care nurses hired after this date without a BSN, must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire date.

+ No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training

+ One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire

+ One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire

+ RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO

+ Employees must obtain multistate licensed RN - KS or MO within 90 days

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $31.50/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
