    **SALARY:** $131,200 - $155,800, bonus and long-term incentive eligible

    **SHIFT:** Day shift, but may have to work off shifts for the needs of the business

    ROLE SUMMARY:

    As a Global Biotech Food Safety and Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in protecting the safety and quality of our product. You will work collaboratively cross functionally to ensure compliance to watch Quality Global regulations, food safety, industry standards, and local requirements, QA/QC analytical standard methods, showcase operational excellence principles and improve, standardize, and harmonize quality systems throughout the group to create change with the current Evergrain manufacturing operations.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** **:

    + Provide direction, leadership and oversight of overall ABI’s Biotech and Evergrain product quality & food safety agenda Driving the right Food Safety and Quality culture across the full organization is a key responsibility.

    + Work cross functionally with internal/external stakeholders to improve, standardize, and harmonize quality systems/procedures in the current manufacturing operations and within R&D Processes.

    + Develop, recommend, implement, and monitor progress against a Strategic Quality Plan with associated objectives, goals, strategies and measures related to product quality & food safety for ABI Biotech and the Evergrain Plant.

    + Establish contact with critical vendors, professional organizations, consultants and peers in order to be up to date with prevailing industry standards

    + Provide functional and subject matter expert (SME) support for new and existing customers as it refers to new or existing products, processes, techniques, procedures or facilities/equipment for ABI Biotech and Evergrain Plant

    + Responsible for creation and implementation of internal quality system policies, procedures and external regulations and standards that govern the products manufactured, labeled, tested, stored, promoted and/or distributed

    + Responsible for quality auditing program that includes assessment of outside contractors, internal and external quality audits, management of regulatory and accreditation inspections and generation of reports and action plans

    + Responsible to ensure timely resolution and complete, without undue concern for delay, non-conformance or non-compliance

    + Responsible for Quality and Plant Fabrics budget submissions to ensure that product quality and food safety needs are always up to standards at R&D and operational facilities

    + Ensure compliance to applicable internal and external regulations, standards, policies and procedures related to the quality, regulatory status and performance of the ABI’s Biotech operations, processes and products

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor degree and/or advanced graduate degree (MS/PhD) in life sciences, engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the dairy/food and/or biotech industry, in progressive quality management experience within a dynamic and rapidly growing business, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment

    + Industry experience in food/dietary supplement/nutritional ingredient/ infant nutrition/dairy/beverage/food production manufacturing environment with heightened product quality, safety and compliance standards

    + Comprehensive direct knowledge of GMP regulations, guidelines and audit process requirements/experience

    + Significant experience with key Food Safety certifications such as HACCP, SQF, RM, REHS, FS, CP, PCQI, BRC, ASQ, GFSI

    + Extensive knowledge of US cGMP and GDP compliance regulations and industry practices, as well as EU GMP requirements.

    + Experience and exposure to operational excellence programs (e.g. TQM, TPM), and experience with continuous improvement methodologies

    + Experience and exposure leading teams in a matrixed organization involving multiple reporting lines

    + Advanced experience in analytical / QC testing in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical/food/beverage laboratories. Experience with Contract Manufacturing Organizations is preferred.

    + Experience with tech transfer, qualifications, and validations for manufacturing (internal/external) along with all QA/QC activities required.

    + Laboratory software (Empower, ChemStation, MODA, LIMS, etc)
