    We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work at our 400 Broadway location.

    Position Summary:

    Perform venipunctures and finger sticks, process medical laboratory tests and document results for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Follow all CLIA and COLA requirements and regulations. Serve as a back-up for clinical team members as needed.

    The major duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

    + Direct Patient Care - Obtain blood specimens from patients per laboratory orders by performing venipunctures and finger sticks, process medical laboratory tests and documents results.

    + Serve as a back-up for clinical team members as needed by controlling patient flow, performing EKG tests, obtaining blood pressure measurements, documenting vital signs in EMR and administering injectables.

    + Administration - Enter patient demographics, tests performed and diagnoses correlating to tests performed in the EMR.

    + Complete lab requisitions forms and produce appropriate labels for forms and specimen tubes.

    + Complete appropriate laboratory forms documenting tests performed and providing diagnoses correlating to tests performed.

    + Maintenance of Clinic Equipment and Supplies - Order and maintain adequate laboratory supplies.

    + Clean and maintain laboratory including equipment.

    + Compliance - Maintain records and documentation for proficiency testing and to meet COLA and CLIA requirements and regulations.

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + Completion of accredited Medical Assistant Program, Associate degree preferred.

    + One (1) year full time Medical Assistant work experience preferred.

    + Possession of a current basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS CPR) certificate.

    + Ability to work both independently and in a team.

    + Experience working with people living with HIV/AIDS preferred.

    + Ability to speak Spanish or one of the Asisan languages is strongly preferred.
